GorillaPods like the JOBY GorillaPod Compact Tripod have been around forever and for good reason. They offer the most flexible(literally), lightweight, and strong tripod around. If you’re going to be shooting video with a higher end camera it is certainly a good thing to have around. Other uses could be holding your phone with a tripod mount and holding a Nebula projector for movie watching.
